Twenty years ago, a teenager from Cork picked up a steering wheel and never looked back. Two decades, multiple European crowns and a record five Formula Drift championships later, James Deane is bringing it all home with 130 SHOWDOWN—a celebration of two decades at full lock.
September 19-20, 2026 at Mondello Park marks the event that drift enthusiasts have been waiting for. Two days of flat-out drifting action featuring the biggest names in world drifting, celebrating James Deane's legendary career and the milestones that defined his journey.
The International Lineup
The headline acts speak for themselves. Mad Mike Whiddett touches down for his first-ever appearance on Irish soil, bringing his signature style to the track. The legendary Worthouse S15 Silvias—the very cars that carried James to his first Formula Drift titles—have been rebuilt and reunited. James and his old title-winning teammate Piotr Więcek will put them back on track together, a moment two decades in the making.
International stars Chelsea DeNofa, Odi Bakchis and Baggsy headline the international entry, while the Shanahan brothers, Duane McKeever and Darren McNamara lead the Irish charge in an 18-strong (and growing) lineup. Of course, Evenflow will be there with his full fleet, getting up to all sorts of mischief as you'd expect.
What to Expect
Saturday runs a full Irish national knockout competition, from qualifying right through to the podium, to see which local heroes will join the international grid for Sunday's main event.
Sunday is the Showdown itself: Superlap, Top 24 battles, thrills, spills and surprises to feast your eyes and ears on, followed by a podium party twenty years in the making.
Off track, explore a huge hand-picked car show and a trade village stacked with parts and merchandise. If you want the full experience, grab yourself a paddock access session and get up close and personal with the cars.
